Business Plan

An important part of a home business is your Business Plan.

  1. Identify your business goals and objectives
  2. Determine a mission statement and business values
  3. Plan your advertising budget
  4. Plan your marketing strategy
  5. Plot the steps required to achieve your goals, and the timeframe for each step
  6. Track your progress.

Your Business Goal may be as simple as achieving a particular monthly income.  Or it may be to achieve a particular percentage of the market, or to achieve income with a particular number of hours per day.

Your mission statement and values may be outwardly-focused, dedicated to helping others enhance their lives.

You need to set an advertising budget. Buying traffic from Google AdWords can be fast and effective, but it can be costly if you don't know what you are doing. Or you may have no budget at all for advertising, and rely on your personal networking skills and online social networking and free or low-cost online advertising techniques.

Your marketing strategy may include online advertising, offline advertising, word-of-mouth referrals, partnerships.

Break up your business plan into achievable steps, and track your progress towards your goal.
