Offline Marketing

These days we spend so much time marketing and researching online, it's easy to ignore Offline Marketing. But the traditional methods still work. They may not send as much traffic as online advertising, but it all adds up.

Conversations in person

Personal experience can be most persuasive. Your passion and excitement will show through, if you really love the  business. You are on hand to answer any questions. But you need to have worked out in your own mind, the answers to common questions yourself, and be confident that you have what they need.

Letterbox drops

Leaflets in letterboxes can work. Make them small, succinct and colourful. Promote the benefits of your business. Don't put leaflets in letterboxes that have "no junk mail" or similar.

Postcards

You can get postcards made up, advertising your business, for a more professional look, and deliver to letterboxes.

Leaflets on noticeboards

Leaflets on noticeboards can work. Make them colourful, with a picture, to stand out from the rest. Have small tear-off strips to make it easy for people - no-one remembers phone numbers or long web addresses.

Magnets

You can get fridge magnets made up to advertise your business. If you distribute them in letterboxes, they are less likely to be thrown out than other letterbox advertising material.

Car stickers

You can get adhesive transparent car stickers made up, for your car windows or car body, advertising your website. Great when you're stuck in traffic, and those around you can't help but look and wonder.

Branded clothing, pens

Wear your brand on your sleeve, literally. Put your company name or website address on your cap, clothes, pen, notepads - anything that you use when you're out and about. You want people to notice, and ask about your business.
